Journal ArticleDOI

Permutation entropy: a natural complexity measure for time series.

TL;DR: The method introduces complexity parameters for time series based on comparison of neighboring values and shows that its complexity behaves similar to Lyapunov exponents, and is particularly useful in the presence of dynamical or observational noise.
Book

Turbulence, Coherent Structures, Dynamical Systems and Symmetry

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a review of rigor properties of low-dimensional models and their applications in the field of fluid mechanics. But they do not consider the effects of random perturbation on models.
Journal ArticleDOI

Games with Incomplete Information Played by Bayesian Players, I-III

TL;DR: The paper develops a new theory for the analysis of games with incomplete information where the players are uncertain about some important parameters of the game situation, such as the payoff functions, the strategies available to various players, the information other players have about the game, etc.

Random Dynamical Systems

Ludwig Arnold
TL;DR: This chapter establishes the framework of random dynamical systems and introduces the concept of random attractors to analyze models with stochasticity or randomness.

Network Information Theory

TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive treatment of network information theory and its applications is provided, which provides the first unified coverage of both classical and recent results, including successive cancellation and superposition coding, MIMO wireless communication, network coding and cooperative relaying.
