Energy transfer in molecular crystals: Nondipolar Coulomb exciton transfer interactions in crystalline naphthalene and anthracene
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared several approximations to the nondipolar Coulomb exciton transfer interaction using crystalline naphthalene and anthracene as examples and found that the non-ipolar interactions are largely independent of the wave function used to generate them.

Reflection of light by anisotropic molecular crystals including exciton-polaritons and spatial dispersion.
TL;DR: A theory for the reflection of light by molecular crystals is described, which reproduces the minimum within the reflection band that is observed experimentally and allows for the extraction of a plasma frequency.

Anomalous light absorption in molecular crystals
TL;DR: In this paper, the Fourier transform of the retarded two-time Green's function in a system in which the electron vibrational interactions of the lattice photons and of the intramolecular photons are included in the terms of the Hamiltonian that are diagonal in the electron operators is used to obtain a solution for an infinite chain of nonlinear coupled equations for the Fouriers transform of a two-times Green's functions.

Single-Site Approximations in the Electronic Theory of Simple Binary Alloys
TL;DR: In this paper, a single-band model Hamiltonian is used to describe the electronic structure of a three-dimensional disordered binary alloy, and several common theories based on the single-site approximation in a multiple-scattering description are compared with exact results for this Hamiltonian.

Persistence and Amalgamation Types in the Electronic Structure of Mixed Crystals
Yositaka Onodera,Yutaka Toyozawa +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the intrinsic optical spectra of binary solid solutions can be classified into two types, persistence and amalgamation types, and various situations realized in mixed crystals are discussed in the light of the experimental information.

Surface, subsurface, and bulk exciton transitions of crystalline anthracene
M. R. Philpott,J.‐M. Turlet +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of surface transitions on the bulk reflection spectrum using equations given by a microscopic theory of surface and bulk exciton states was studied and the agreement between the calculated and experimental spectra is excellent.
