Abstract
Anther culture ofPhysalis minima L. (2 n=48) was successful and embryos and plantlets could be obtained 5–6 weeks after culture. MS medium containing CM was essential for pollen division. 16.7% of the cultured anthers produced plantlets. All the pollen plantlets were triploid (3 n=72). Regeneration of multiple shoot buds was obtained from cultured leaf and stem expiants of pollen plantlets.

Induction of haploidy from pollen grains in angiosperms — the current status

TL;DR: This review has made an effort to critically examine existing reports with the objective of analysing the effects of various factors and speculate on the mechanism of action of different factors in order to throw some light on the process of haploid induction.

In vitro induction of pollen embryos and plantlets in Brassica juncea through anther culture

TL;DR: A combination of cold pretreatment and high temperature shock was essential in inducing embryogenesis in cultured anthers of Brassica juncea var.

A revised medium for rapid growth and bio assays with tobacco tissue cultures

TL;DR: In vivo redox biosensing resolves the spatiotemporal dynamics of compartmental responses to local ROS generation and provide a basis for understanding how compartment-specific redox dynamics may operate in retrograde signaling and stress 67 acclimation in plants.

Embryogenesis and plant regeneration in Brassica napus anther cultures

- 15 May 1977 -
TL;DR: Anthers of two cultivars of Brassica napus were cultured on a medium previously used for B. campestris but modified with the addition of 100 mg/l L-serine, finding that the frequency of embryogenic anthers obta...

The role of nuclear fusion in pollen embryogenesis of Datura innoxia Mill.

TL;DR: Embryogenic events occur in cultures initiated at the stages of the first pollen mitosis and young pollen grains, but C embryogenesis predominates.
