TLDR
In this article, a simple generalization of the Weibull distribution is presented, which is well suited for modeling bathtub failure rate lifetime data and for testing goodness-of-fit of the weibull and negative exponential models as subhypotheses.Abstract:

Correlated gamma frailty models for bivariate survival data
TL;DR: This article introduces the gamma correlated frailty models with two different baseline distributions namely, the generalized log logistic, and the generalized Weibull, and presents a simulation study to compare the true values of the parameters with the estimated values.

Inference based on censored samples from exponentiated populations
TL;DR: In this article, maximum likelihood and Bayes estimators of the parameters, survival and hazard rate functions of an exponentiated population whose cumulative distribution function takes the form H(x)=[G(x)]α, where α is an unknown positive parameter and G (x) is a cumulative distribution functions, are obtained in two cases: when the parameters of G(x), α, β are all known so that α is the only unknown parameter of H and when the k-dimensional vector of parameters β, β, are all unknown so that the (k+1)-

Inverse Gaussian shared frailty models based on reversed hazard rate
David D. Hanagal,Arvind Pandey +1 more
TL;DR: The Bayesian estimation procedure using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo technique to estimate the parameters involved in the shared inverse Gaussian frailty model based on the reversed hazard rate with the three baseline distributions, namely, log-logistic distribution, the inverse Weibull distribution and the generalized WeIBull distribution is introduced.

Generalized Flexible Weibull Extension Distribution
Zubair Ahmad,Brikhna Iqbal +1 more
Abstract: In this article, a four parameter generalization of the flexible Weibull extension distribution so-called generalized flexible Weibull extension distribution is studied. The proposed model belongs to T-X family of distributions proposed by Alzaatreh et al. [5]. The suggested model is much flexible and accommodates increasing, unimodal and modified unimodal failure rates. A comprehensive expression of the numerical properties and the estimates of the model parameters are obtained using maximum likelihood method. By appropriate choice of parameter values the new model reduces to four sub models. The proposed model is illustrated by means of three real data sets.
