Fiber optic millimeter-wave generation and bandwidth efficient data transmission for broadband mobile communications in the 60 GHz-band

TLDR
In this paper, experiments on the optical generation of low-phase noise millimeter-wave signals and 140 Mbit/s-data transmissions were reported, where the 62.5 GHz mmWave carrier is remotely generated by heterodyning the signals of semiconductor lasers at an optic/mmWave converter.

Long-term 160 Gb/s-TDM, RZ transmission with automatic PMD compensation and system monitoring using an optical sampling system

TL;DR: Long-term measurements (10 hrs) of a 160 Gbit/s, single wavelength, RZ-system with automatic PMD compensation are demonstrated for the first time and the performance is quantified in terms of Q-value using a real-time eye-diagram monitor based on all-optical sampling.

Fiber Aided Wireless Network Architecture

TL;DR: This work considers a single-input, multiple-output (SIMO) FAWNA, which consists of a SIMO wireless channel interfaced with an optical fiber channel through wireless-optical interfaces, and proposes a design where the received wireless signal at each interface is sampled and quantized before being sent over the fiber.

Corrélation du bruit de phase de lasers à réseau de Bragg par injection optique. Application à la génération et au transport sur fibre de signaux radiofréquence

TL;DR: In this paper, a theory of correlation between deux sources optiques is proposed for laser semi-conducteur, in which deux harmoniques d'un laser module en frequence comme sources distinctes d'injection sont correles.

Outage probabilities in PMD compensated transmission systems

TL;DR: The benefit of using some simple and relevant optical pre- and post-transmission PMD compensation techniques in terms of outage probability in optic transmission systems for both NRZ (non RZ) and RZ (return-to-zero) formats is quantified.

A novel method of optical generation of mm-wave signals using optical carrier suppression

TL;DR: In this article, a novel scheme of optical generation of mm-wave signal have been proposed using successive modulation of a light wave in two Mach-Zehnder light intensity modulators.
