Resume Les sociologues questionnent depuis peu la formation des prix sur les marches. Leurs travaux rendent compte de facon feconde de la pluralite des processus et des variables a l'œuvre dans la formation des prix. Toutefois, ces travaux ne permettent pas de decrire les procedures concretes par lesquelles des prix sont effectivement calcules et attribues a des produits. Aussi, cette etude explore toute la sophistication du calcul des prix des produits distribues dans le secteur de la grande distribution, sur la base empirique du cas d'un grand groupe de distribution francais. Trois resultats principaux emergent de cette etude : a) le droit participe a la circonscription de « l'espace de calcul » des prix de vente au consommateur fixes par les distributeurs ; b) le choix d'une procedure de calcul agit sur la definition des rapports de force entre les professionnels du marche pour la maitrise du partage de la valeur ; c) les « prix de vente aux consommateurs » ne resultent pas directement ni des rapports entre l'« offre » et la « demande », ni des micro-negociations fournisseur-distributeur, mais bien plutot de la mise en lien d'« espaces de calcul » pluriels et heterogenes dont nous tentons de decrire ici les acteurs, les outils et les savoirs impliques dans leur definition.read more
