Half-life of32Si

TLDR
In this paper, the decay rate was determined from the 32Si/36Cl ratio of counts, based on the analysis of 53 points taken in 48 months, the valueT1/2 = 172(4) yr is adopted for the half-life of 32Si.

Power Spectrum Analysis of Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Decay-Rate Data: Evidence for Solar Rotational Modulation

TL;DR: In this paper, the decay rates of Ra-226 acquired at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Germany were analyzed and a significant peak was found at frequency 11.23/yr.
Journal ArticleDOI

Power spectrum analysis of LMSU (Lomonosov Moscow State University) nuclear decay-rate data: Further indication of r-mode oscillations in an inner solar tachocline

TL;DR: In this paper, a power spectrum analysis of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (LMSU) measurements of the 90 Sr - 90 Y decay process acquired over the interval August 4 2002 to February 6 2009 is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectral Content of 22Na/44Ti Decay Data: Implications for a Solar Influence

TL;DR: In this article, a more detailed analysis of both amplitude and phase of the Norman data was performed and it was shown that the amplitude and the phase of these data actually favor the presence of an annual variation in the decay ratio, albeit weakly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Power Spectrum Analysis of Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Decay-Rate Data: Evidence for Solar Rotational Modulation

TL;DR: In this paper, the decay rates of 226Ra acquired at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Germany were analyzed using a weighted running-mean analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of 32Si and 36Cl with the ETH/SIN EN-Tandem

TL;DR: In this paper, the reproducibility of 36 Cl measurements with a beam energy of 48 MeV was investigated with the case of 32 Si and successful efforts were made to determine absolute isotope ratios of artificially enriched silicon samples.

A.H. Wapstra, +1 more
- 07 Jan 1985 -
TL;DR: The present table gives values and their estimated precision for the separation energies and reaction energies representing together twelve carefully selected combinations of nuclides with ΔA as discussed by the authors, where ΔA is defined as the ratio of the separation energy and reaction energy.

Measurement of the /sup 32/Si half-life via accelerator mass spectrometry

TL;DR: The half-life of cosmogenic /sup 32/Si has been measured to be T/sub 1/2/=101 +- 18 yr, considerably shorter than the previously accepted value of approx. =300 yr.

Ultra-sensitive particle identification systems based upon electrostatic accelerators

TL;DR: In this paper, a review is presented of a new ultra-sensitive particle identification technique which uses as one component an electrostatic accelerator, which has been used in various laboratories for a search for superheavy elements, quarks, and the long lived isotopes 14 C and 36 Cl.

Half-life of Si-32 from tandem-accelerator mass spectrometry

TL;DR: In this paper, a newly developed mass-spectrometry technique employing a tandem Van de Graaff accelerator together with a special beam-transport system and heavy-ion detector has been used to determine the half-life of Si-32.
