A Cascade-Evaporation Model for Photonuclear Reactions

TL;DR: In this paper, detailed and systematic Monte Carlo calculations have been performed for different characteristics of inelastic photonuclear reactions for an energy range of Tγ ≈ 50 MeV-1 GeV in the framework of the intranuclear cascade model taking into account the competition between particle evaporation and fission of excited residual nuclei.
Journal ArticleDOI

Compilation and Analysis of Intermediate-and High-energy Photon and Electron Induced Spallation Yields

G G Jonsson, +1 more
- 01 Jan 1973 -
TL;DR: In this article, the mass and energy dependence of the parameters are discussed and the CDMD-formula is then used to estimate spallation yields and cross sections with appropriate parameters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photon-induced nuclear reactions above 1 GeV: (I). Experimental

TL;DR: The results fit well to earlier measurements below 1 GeV as discussed by the authors, and the analysis and discussion of the spallation and fission results are given in a series of consecutive papers.

Measurement of isomeric-yield ratios for the 197Au(γ,n)196m,gAu reactions induced by bremsstrahlung

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured isomeric-yield ratios for the 197Au(γ,n)196m,gAu reactions with bremsstrahlung energies of 50-, 60-, 70-MeV, and 2.5-GeV at the two different electron linac of the Pohang accelerator laboratory by using the activation method.

Low-Energy Intranuclear Cascade Calculation

TL;DR: In this paper, Monte Carlo cascade calculations have been performed for nuclear reactions involving incident protons, neutrons, and ${\ensuremath{\pi}}+}$, and the upper energy limit of validity of the calculation is approximately 350 MeV below which pion production is not likely.
Journal ArticleDOI

Systematics of Spallation Yields

TL;DR: In this paper, a five-parameter formula describing the cross-section distribution for a wide range of experimental conditions with a fair degree of accuracy is presented, and the application of the formula to different fields of research is indicated.

Monte carlo calculations on intranuclear cascades. ii. high-energy studies and pion processes

TL;DR: In this article, the nuclear cascade calculations described in the precedng paper have been extended to incident energies up to 1.8 Be with the inclusion of pion production, scattering, and absorption processes.
