Journal ArticleDOI

An ultrastructural study of alkaline phosphatase activity in normal and neoplastic human salivary glands.

TL;DR: The results indicated that myoepithelial cells in the normal salivary glands were negative for alkaline phosphatase activity and, therefore, enzyme localization as a marker for identification of such cells in mixed tumours was not reliable.

The influence of some cations on an adenosine triphosphatase from peripheral nerves.

TL;DR: Leg nerves from the shore crab contain an adenosine triphosphatase which is located in the submicroscopic particles, and the influence of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium ions on this enzyme has been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of some cations on an adenosine triphosphatase from peripheral nerves.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the influence of different cations on the activity of an adenosine triphosphatase (ATP) enzyme in the leg nerves of crabs.

Ultrastructure of the chondroid regions of benign mixed tumor of salivary gland

TL;DR: It is suggested that in the benign mixed tumor neoplastic myoepithelial cells undergo partial metaplasia enabling them to produce a typical chondroid matrix and, therefore, afterMetaplasia entirely capable of producing a mesenchymal mucin.
