TLDR
In this paper, a direct discrete approximation based internal model control design is proposed to the linear discrete dynamical systems, which deploys on discrete step integral square error minimization between the original dynamical system and the approximated model, together with retaining their discrete impulse response energy values.

Fitting Nonlinear Signal Models Using the Increasing-Data Criterion

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors make the utmost use of the fitting advantages of Gaussian and polynomial functions, and propose a nonlinear signal model with broader applications, and focus on the parameter estimation issues of the proposed models in the presence of noises.

Discrete orthogonal polynomials reduced models based on shift-transformation and discrete Walsh functions

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated model order reduction (MOR) methods of discrete-time systems via discrete orthogonal polynomials in the time domain, which can match the first several expansion coefficients of the original output.

Load Frequency Control in Power Systems via Internal Model Control Scheme and Model-Order Reduction

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple approach to load frequency control (LFC) design for the power systems having parameter uncertainty and load disturbance is proposed, which is based on two-degree-of-freedom, internal model control (IMC) scheme, which unifies the concept of model-order reduction like Routh and Pade approximations.
