Learning automata and reservation based secure smart parking system: Methodology and simulation analysis

TLDR
The performance of the proposed algorithm, Learning Automata and Reservation based Secure Smart Parking System (LA-RSSPS) is simulated and evaluated in terms of average waiting time, search time, the probability with which the vehicles do not get parking slot when they do not have reservation and the likelihood of getting reservation and is compared with ProNet and iERS.

Smart Routing: A Novel Application of Collaborative Path-finding to Smart Parking Systems

TL;DR: This work simulates a smart parking system for an urban environment, and shows that a novel approach to collaboratively planning paths for multiple agents can lead to reduced traffic congestion on routes toward busy parking areas, while reducing the amount of time when parking spaces are vacant, thereby increasing the revenue earned.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Survey of Parking Solutions for Smart Cities

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors look at parking in Smart Cities through the lens of market-based allocation of goods and services, where prices act as signals used to allocate goods to those who value them most.

Experimental Design for Measuring Operational Performance of Truck Parking Terminal Using Simulation Technique

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors presented the performance analysis of a well-designed truck parking terminal, which is planned for regulating truck traffic over a commercial port, using microscopic traffic simulation, which was validated based on the movement of vehicles to the parking bays.

PARKAGENT: An agent-based model of parking in the city

TL;DR: The PARKAGENT model shows that additional parking supply linearly affects the occurrence of extreme values, but has only a weak impact on the average search time for a parking place or the average walking distance between the parking place and the destination.
