Dynamic properties of vision—II. Theoretical relationships between flicker and flash thresholds
TL;DR: On the basis of some general system properties theoretical relationships have been established between parameters which characterise the sensitivity and inertia of the visual system in flicker and flash experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Linear Dynamics of Free-Piston Stirling Engines:
R W Redlich,D M Berchowitz +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the free-piston Stirling engine (FPSE) is applied to obtain: a stability criterion, a means for determining the oscillation frequency, relative amplitudes of the dynamic components, effects of friction on starting and the locus of the roots of the system determinant.
Journal ArticleDOI
A characteristic of self-regulated linear energy converters the hill force-Velocity relation for muscle
TL;DR: The coefficients of the Hill equation receive a new interpretation in terms of the degree of coupling (Kedem & Caplan, 1965) of the converter, and complete-coupled converters are excluded from consideration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Teaching circuit theory: 1934 - 1984
TL;DR: In this paper, key developments in the teaching of circuit theory are traced over the past half century at the graduate and undergraduate levels at the University of Edinburgh and the Australian National University.

High standard one-loop potential clamp device for Ranvier nodes.
TL;DR: From sodium current measurements the following conclusions were drawn: 1. Occasional deviations of sodium current kinetics near the sodium equilibrium potential from the predictions of the HHF-formalism are measurement errors, and 2. the constant field formalism holds for sodium currents in the potential range of biological relevance only.
