Lithium formate nonlinear devices
TLDR
The hydrated and deuterated forms of lithium formate are useful nonlinear materials for use over a wavelength range including the visible spectrum and resistance to radiation damage is significantly greater as mentioned in this paper.Abstract:
The hydrated and deuterated forms of lithium formate are found to be useful nonlinear materials for use over a wavelength range including the visible spectrum. While conversion efficiency is inferior to that of lithium niobate or barium sodium niobate, resistance to radiation damage is significantly greater. Operation at power levels in excess of 106 watts/cm2 has resulted in no perceptible damage. These materials are suitably incorporated in second harmonic generators as well as in other parametric devices.read more

Frequency doubling crystals
Francis Wang,Stephan P. Velsko +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic approach to the production of frequency conversion crystals is described in which a chiral molecule has attached to it a "harmonic generating unit" which contributes to the noncentrosymmetry of the molecule.

Optical wavelength converting method
TL;DR: In this article, a Cerenkov-radiation type optical wavelength converter device is used to convert a single-crystal organic nonlinear optical material of an orthorhombic system of mm2 point group disposed in a cladding as a waveguide and a wavelength-converted wave such as a second harmonic whose wavelength within the range of 430 to 500 nm is extracted.

Laser device with wavelength converter using organic ionic crystal
TL;DR: In this paper, a nonlinear optical material is formed by removing water of crystallization from an organic ionic crystal containing at least one of aromatic ring and metal ion, and recrystallizing with a solvent comprising ionic bonding deuterium, hydrogen bonding hydrogen, and heavy water.
