Abstract
A new SAW resonator filter on LiTaO3 (X-112°Y) substrate has been developed. The filter is a transducer coupling 3-poles filter with Butterworth response. It is constructed monolithically and requires no external elements. 3.5 dB minimum insertion loss, 5 10 kHz 3 dB-bandwidth, and 46 dB image signal rejection level are obtained at 280 MHz. This new filter, designed for a front-end filter, enables single super-heterodyne radio paging receivers to be offered.
