Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment and statistical correlation of mechanical properties of double sided single pass submerged arc welded line pipe steel

TL;DR: In this article, the authors assess the mechanical properties of submerged arc welded, high-strength, line pipe steel API X70 and show that the fusion zone presented the highest hardness and the lowest impact strength due to the as-deposited microstructure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of Loading Responses and Failure Loci of a Boron Steel Spot Weld

TL;DR: In this paper, the loading response of certain weld zones, as well as failure loci, was obtained through physical simulation of the welding process, and the results showed a significant difference in mechanical behavior through the weld length.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of gas mixtures Ar-He and Ar-He-O2 on weldability of aluminum alloy AA5083-O using automated GMAW-P

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the influence of gas mixtures with O2 on aluminium alloy AA5083-O weldability using filler metal ER5183 using the automated GMAW-P process.
Dissertation

Optimization of parameters for fiber laser-MAG hybrid welding in shipbuilding applications
