Mobile WiMAX - Deployment Scenarios Performance Analysis

TLDR
Evaluated performance of mobile WiMAX system such as signal-to-interference + noise ratio distributions, spectral efficiency and system outage in various scenarios of multi-cellular deployment will be presented and discussed.
Abstract
In this paper, dynamic system level simulation methodology of mobile WiMAX (IEEE Std 802.16e) is described. The system level simulations scenarios (channel models, pathloss and shadow fading, sectorization, frequency reuse planning, system loading, etc) will be introduced. Evaluated performance of mobile WiMAX system such as signal-to-interference + noise ratio distributions, spectral efficiency and system outage in various scenarios of multi-cellular deployment will be presented and discussed.

Adaptive-Modulation-and-Coding-Based Transmission of Control Messages for Resource Allocation in Mobile Communication Systems

TL;DR: This paper introduces a scheme that applies AMC to the transmission of resource-allocation messages and analyzes its performance in systems that support truncated ARQ, such as link-layer ARQ and HARQ.

Comparison of WiMAX and ADSL Performance when Streaming Audio and Video Content

TL;DR: This paper uses OPNET Modeler versions 15.0 and 16.0 to evaluate packet loss, delay, delay jitter, and throughput with various design parameters to determine whether WiMAX exhibits performance comparable to ADSL.

System and method for selecting data rates to provide uniform bit loading of subcarriers of a multicarrier communication channel

TL;DR: In this paper, a data rate is selected for subcarriers of each frequency and spatial channel of a slowly varying frequency selective multicarrier channel to provide uniform bit loading (UBL) for faster link adaptation.
