Mössbauer resonance studies on Sn substituted Fe4N

TLDR
In this paper, preliminary results of Mossbauer resonance investigations (57Fe and 119Sn) on ferromagnetic Sn substituted Fe4N show: 1) a preferential substitution in the Fe(I) sites of the lattice 2) a decrease of the particle size with increasing Sn content.

ε-Fe3N: magnetic structure, magnetization and temperature dependent disorder of nitrogen

TL;DR: In this article, a ferromagnetic spin structure with magnetic moments oriented perpendicular to the c-axis of the hexagonal nuclear structure is observed with magnetic saturation moment 2.2 μB at 4.2 K from neutron diffraction and 2.0 μB from magnetic measurements and decreases in a Brillouinlike manner on heating to TC=575 K.

The calculated electronic and magnetic structures of Fe4N and Mn 4N

TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic and magnetic structures of Fe 4 N and Mn 4 N were calculated using the augmented spherical wave method (A. S. W.) and compared with Goodenough's phenomenological model and Heusler alloys.

Nitrogen ordering and ferromagnetic properties of ϵ-Fe3N1+x (0.10≤x≤0.39) and ϵ-Fe3(N0.80C0.20)1.38

TL;DR: In this paper, the type and degree of occupational order of N and N+C, respectively, were determined as a function of composition and temperature, and the ordering of N is closely related to that of the ϵ-Fe3N ‘ideal’ structure (space group P6322).

High-Pressure, High-Temperature Single-Crystal Growth, Ab initio Electronic Structure Calculations, and Equation of State of ε-Fe3N1+x

TL;DR: In this article, the high pressure behavior of the hard material e-Fe3N1+x was studied up to 33 GPa with in situ X-ray diffraction experiments using diamond anvil cells in combination with synchrotron radiation as...

Mössbauer Study of Hyperfine Fields and Isomer Shifts in Fe 4 N and ( F e , N i ) 4 N

TL;DR: In this paper, the Mossbauer spectra of the three face-centered cubic arrangement of iron atoms with nitrogen at the body-center position were measured with a stainless steel source.

Recent developments in magnetic recording materials (invited)

G. Bate
TL;DR: In this article, a list of magnetic properties of all kinds of magnetic particles with high coercivity and an appropriate moment density is presented. But magnetic properties seem almost invariably to be associated with thermal, mechanical or chemical instability.

Noncollinearity as a size effect of CrO2 small particles

TL;DR: The magnetic structure of small CrO2 particles doped with about 1.2 wt.% 57Fe has been explored by 57Fe Mossbauer spectroscopy as a function of the particle size as discussed by the authors.
