Nondestructive measurement of fruit and vegetable quality by means of NIR spectroscopy: A review
Bart Nicolai,Katrien Beullens,Els Bobelyn,Ann Peirs,Wouter Saeys,Karen I. Theron,Jeroen Lammertyn +6 more
TL;DR: An overview of NIR spectroscopy for measuring quality attributes of horticultural produce is given in this article, where the problem of calibration transfer from one spectrophotometer to another is introduced as well as techniques for calibration transfer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theory and application of near infrared reflectance spectroscopy in determination of food quality
Haiyan Cen,Yong He +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an overview of the type of information that can be obtained based on some developed theory and food research of near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS), and some problems which need to be solved or investigated further are also discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Near infrared spectroscopy: A mature analytical technique with new perspectives - A review.
TL;DR: Last decade's advances and modern aspects of near infrared spectroscopy are critically examined and reviewed in order to understand why the technique has found intensive application in the most diverse and modern areas of analytical importance during the last ten years.

Non-invasive tissue glucose level monitoring
TL;DR: Instruments and methods for performing non-invasive measurements of analyte concentrations and for monitoring, analyzing and regulating tissue status, such as tissue glucose levels are described in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transfer of multivariate calibration models: a review
TL;DR: An overview of the different methods used for calibration transfer and a critical assessment of their validity and applicability is presented, focusing on methods for transfer of near-infrared (NIR) spectra.

Journal ArticleDOI
Prediction of gasoline octane numbers from near-infrared spectral features in the range 660-1215 nm
TL;DR: The feasibility of predicting the quality parameters of gasoline from its absorption spectrum in the wavelength range 660-1215 nm was investigated in this paper, where vibrational overtones and combination bands of CH groups of methyl, methylene, aromatic, olefinic functions were observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of the charge-transfer kinetics of ferrocene at platinum and vitreous carbon electrodes by potential steps chronocoulometry
TL;DR: In this article, potential step chronocoulometric methods were used to measure kinetic parameters for the oxidation of ferrocene at platinum vitreous carbon electrodes in acetonitrile, and the experimental activation energy for electron transfer was found to be ΔG≠ (exp) = 0.03 ± 0.02 cm s−1.
