Silanediol hydrogen bonding activation of carbonyl compounds.

TL;DR: This is the first study of neutral Lewis basic carbonyl compounds with silanediols and performs crystallization and NMR-binding experiments to investigate the hydrogen bonding interactions in both solid-state and solution for molecular recognition and the design of new catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI

A spectroscopic investigation of incompletely condensed polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS-mono-ol, POSS-diol and POSS-triol): Hydrogen-bonded interaction and host–guest complex

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the hydrogen-bonded interaction in three different types of incompletely condensed silsesquioxanes (POSS-mono-ol, POSS-diol and POSS triol) and explored the possibility of three POSS silanols as anion receptors to form host-guest complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supramolecular hydrogen-bonding assembly of silanediols with bifunctional heterocycles

TL;DR: X-ray crystallography showcases the distinct self-association and hydrogen-bonding patterns of organic silanediols, R2Si(OH)2, with bifunctional heterocycles for supramolecular assembly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Structures of Titanium and Zirconium Trisiloxides

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and structures of zirconium and titanium trisiloxides containing the tridentate ligand [MeSi(RMeSiO)3]3- (rac-l,l-3)-3H (R = Si(SiMe3)2Me) are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heterometallic alumo- and gallodisilicates with M(O-Si-O)2M' and [M(O-Si-O)2]2M' cores (M = Al, Ga; M' = Ti, Zr, Hf).

TL;DR: Reactions between group 4 metal amides M'(NEt2)4 (M' = Ti, Zr, Hf) and 1 and 2 resulted in the formation of nine heterometallic silicates (3-11) containing inorganic M(O-Si-O)2M' and [M(O(Si- O)2] 2M' cores with 4R and spiro-4R topologies, respectively.

Synthesis and structural characterization of a remarkably stable, anionic, incompletely condensed silsesquioxane framework

TL;DR: In this paper, a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study of the silica was carried out and it was shown that the ions exist as isolated ion pairs with strong intramolecular hydrogen bonding.
