TLDR
Given a Volterra series representation of an input-output system, the authors present a result concerning conditions under which there exists a feedback linearizable realization of the nonlinear system and develop a method to compute the unknown parameters in a canonical-form realization from the known VolterRA kernels.
Abstract
Given a Volterra series representation of an input-output system, the authors present a result concerning conditions under which there exists a feedback linearizable realization of the nonlinear system. In addition, they develop a method to compute the unknown parameters in a canonical-form realization from the known Volterra kernels. A finite number of parameters can be calculated from an associated finite number of the kernels. >

Discrete-time nonlinear systems modeling

TL;DR: To identify a system from input and output data, parameters are estimated for a canonical state-space or difference-equation representation, depending on which representation is most convenient for further analysis.

Nonlinlear State Space Modeling of Sunspot Data

TL;DR: This paper defines the FBL model arid and uses it to fit the sunspot time series, which shows evidence of being a nonlinear process.

Nonlinear Problems in Random Theory

TL;DR: A series of lectures on the role of nonlinear processes in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, physiology, and communication theory was given in this article, where the last few of these were devoted to the application of my ideas to problems in the statistical mechanics of gases.

Measurement of the Wiener Kernels of a Non-linear System by Cross-correlation†

TL;DR: In this article, a practical and relatively simple method of measuring the Wiener kernels of a non-linear system is presented, which is based upon cross-correlation techniques and avoids orthogonal expansions such as those of the original Wiener method of measurement.

Feedback linearizing control of switched reluctance motors

TL;DR: In this article, a state feedback control algorithm was proposed to compensate for all the nonlinearities and decouples the effect of stator phase currents in the torque production for a single-link manipulator with SRM.

On the linear equivalents of nonlinear systems

TL;DR: In this article, a complete characterization of the class of nonlinear systems which are equivalent to controllable linear systems is obtained, and an equivalence relation is established for the systems x = f(x, u).
