Does Magnetic Levitation or Suspension Define the Masses of Forming Stars
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated whether magnetic tension can define the masses of forming stars by holding up the subcritical envelope of a molecular cloud that suffers gravitational collapse of its supercritical core.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fundamental physical constants and their stability: A review
TL;DR: In this paper, the choice, nature, classification, and precision of determination of fundamental physical constants are described and the problem of temporal variations is also discussed, and the need for further determination of absolute measurements of G and time variations of the gravitational constant is pointed out.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kolmogorov Complexity and Chaotic Phenomena
Vladik Kreinovich,I.A. Kunin +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a natural formalization of the Kolmogorov complexity theory (KC) is presented, in which the initial conditions and the value of the parameters must not be abnormal.

Gravity as a Key Problem of the Millenium
TL;DR: The SEE project as mentioned in this paper is a multipurpose space project aimed at measuring G and its stability in space and time 3-4 orders better than at present, which may answer many important questions posed by gravitation, cosmology and unified theories.
Journal ArticleDOI
Russell Lecture: Dark Star Formation and Cooling Instability
TL;DR: The idea that some of the dark matter could be pristine white dwarfs that condensed slowly onto planetary-sized seeds without firing nuclear reactions is found lacking as mentioned in this paper, and recent observations indicate 50 times more halowhite dwarfs than have previously been acknowledged, enough to make the halo fraction observed as MACHOs.
