Abstract
Kemampuan representasi matematis merupakan kemampuan yang masih rendah. Kemampuan ini dapat dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran yang inovatif. Salahsatu pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa adalah pendekatan kontekstual berstrategi relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, transferring (REACT). Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode  eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design . Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV SD se-Kecamatan Cisalak Kabupaten Subang yang sekolahnya berada pada kelompok sedang. Sementara, sampelnya adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Cigadog II sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN Cisalak III  sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan representasi matematis, skala sikap, lembar observasi kinerja guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan wawancara dengan siswa. Hasil penelitian dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual berstrategi REACT lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Selain itu, respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran kontekstual berstrategi REACT sangat positif.
