Anatomia foliar de espécies de Myrtaceae: contribuições à taxonomia e filogenia
Sueli Maria Gomes,Nádia Sílvia Somavilla,Kadja Milena Gomes-Bezerra,Sabrina do Couto de Miranda,Plauto Simão de Carvalho,Dalva Graciano-Ribeiro +5 more
TL;DR: The 144 exsicates examination showed that the glabrescence is a widespread phenomenon in the Myrtaceae and the characters were analyzed in the light of recent phylogenetic studies, highlighting the hypothesis related to the presence of epidermal cells with possible transfer cell function.

Estrutura foliar de espécies de Aechmea Ruiz & Pav. (Bromeliaceae) do Estado de São Paulo, Brasil
TL;DR: The restricted occurence of some features allowed us to elaborate a identificatio n key for thestudied species, and characteristics include the presence of extravascular fibrous groups; adaxial palisade parenchyma; smalle r vascularbundles with conspicuous extensions of the bundle sheath; oclusion in the substomatic chambers; variation in the thickness of theaquiferous hypodermis, and in the number of stalks cells of the scales.

Morphological and biochemical changes in Azadirachta indica from coal combustion fly ash dumping site from a thermal power plant in Delhi, India
TL;DR: Fly ash stress revealed the inhibitory effect on Nitrate reductase activity (NRA), Nitrate, soluble protein, and reducing sugar content, whereas stimulatory effect was found for the stomatal index, nitrogen, proline, antioxidants and sulphur content in the leaves.

Cadmium-Induced Changes in Leaf Epidermes, Photosynthetic Rate and Pigment Concentrations in Cajanus Cajan
TL;DR: Application of different concentrations of cadmium markedly affected leaves of Cajanus cajan (Linn.) Huth due to increased Cd content in leaves, stomatal density and size on abaxial epidermis, and the size ofStomatal aperture and length and density of trichomes on both leaf epidermes decreased significantly in the treated plants.

Anatomical and functional responses of Calendula officinalis L. to SO2 stress as observed at different stages of plant development
TL;DR: Growth responses of field-grown marigold plants to SO 2 stress delayed the development of interfascicular cambium and altered the proportion of the component tissues in the plant axis.

Controlled Maceration of Grass Leaves in 40-80% Nitric Acid for Preparation of Epidermis for Slides
TL;DR: The epidermis of grasses contains specialized cells which provide characters for the assignment of genera to subfamilies and can be easily removed by heating pieces of fresh or rewetted leaves in 40-80% solutions of HNO3 with addition of KClO3, 1-2%, for very fibrous leaves.
