TLDR
It is suggested that Nt-proBNP measurements provide complementary prognostic information to conventional risk indicators, including troponin I, in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes.Abstract:
In summary, we have shown that circulating Nt-proANP and Nt-proBNP levels are associated with early death, but not with nonfatal recurrent AMI, in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes. This nested case-control study suggests that Nt-proBNP measurements provide complementary prognostic information to conventional risk indicators, including troponin I.read more

TL;DR: The use of N‐terminal pro‐brain natriuretic peptide appears to add critical prognostic insight to the assessment of patients with ACS, and the combination of NT‐proBNP and creatinine clearance provided the best prediction.
