TLDR
It is demonstrated that jundia presents dietary protein sparing effect when the energy concentration increases from 3200 to 3650 kcal/kg, and also for body protein, ER, and ANPU.

Growth performance and body composition of white seabream (Diplodus sargus) juveniles fed diets with different protein and lipid levels

TL;DR: Feeding white seabream on 15% dietary protein had a negative eiect on growth and feed utilization, and dietary lipid did not induce a protein-sparing action in Diplodus sargus juveniles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dietary Lysine Requirement as Basis to Estimate the Essential Dietary Amino Acid Profile for Jundiá, Rhamdia quelen

TL;DR: The present study determined the optimal dietary lysine requirement for jundia, Rhamdia quelen, fingerlings by determining the statistical model used for estimation: broken line or polynomial regression, and vertebral collagen concentration was significantly higher in fish fed with the 4.5% l Lysine diet.
Journal ArticleDOI

Apparent digestibility coefficients of feed ingredients for jundia juveniles

TL;DR: The results show that jundia juveniles, although presenting an omnivorous feeding habit, is able to digest high protein ingredients better than high energy ingredients, suggesting that this species is an Omnivore with carnivorous tendency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Growth performance and body composition of pacu Piaractus mesopotamicus (Holmberg 1887) in response to dietary protein and energy levels

TL;DR: Pacu was able to adjust feed consumption in a wide range of dietary DE concentration, and significant differences were observed only at 14.2 MJ kg−1 dietary energy level, suggesting that pacu favours protein as energy source.

Determination of Amino Acids in Feeds: Collaborative Study

TL;DR: A total of 28 laboratories (including authors' laboratories) participated in a collaborative study for determination of amino acids in feeds using three complementary procedures as discussed by the authors, each collaborator analyzed 5 blind duplicate samples of feed and ingredients used in the poultry industry.
