Quality weight based on log modulation amplitude for fringe analysis during optical fringe measurement

TLDR
In this paper, a new quality weight for phase reconstructing (PhR) in optical fringe measurement is proposed, which is based on the combination of Log Modulation Amplitude and Phase Derivative Variance (LMAPDV).
Abstract
A new quality weight for phase reconstructing (PhR) in optical fringe measurement is proposed, which is based on the combination of Log Modulation Amplitude and Phase Derivative Variance (LMAPDV). The LMAPDV quality weight is successfully used to guide the path-following PhR operation. Moreover, by incorporating with the modulation information, LMAPDV quality weight shows better performance in measuring the goodness of phase data than conventional Phase Derivative Variance (PDV) quality weight. In order to deal with phase maps with strong noise and/or low modulation, we introduce the LMAPDV quality weight into Least-Square (LS) PhR algorithm and compare it with PDV quality weight. Numerical and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed quality weight has higher reliability.

Satellite radar interferometry: Two-dimensional phase unwrapping

TL;DR: In this paper, an approach to 'unwrapping' the 2 pi ambiguities in the two-dimensional data set is presented, where it is found that noise and geometrical radar layover corrupt measurements locally, and these local errors can propagate to form global phase errors that affect the entire image.

Fast two-dimensional phase-unwrapping algorithm based on sorting by reliability following a noncontinuous path.

TL;DR: This work describes what is to the authors' knowledge a novel technique for phase unwrapping that uses a different type of reliability function and does not follow a continuous path to perform the unwrapped operation.

Reliability-guided phase unwrapping algorithm: a review ☆

TL;DR: A phase unwrapping algorithm based on the reliability-guided parameter map is reviewed, which shows that in the worse case the error is limited, if there is any, to local minimum areas.

Dynamic 3-D shape measurement method based on FTP

TL;DR: The algorithm of a phase difference between two deformed fringes, the 3-D phase unwrapping method based on the phase difference algorithm, and the computer simulation and experiment results show that this method can efficiently deal with the dynamic3-D shape measurement.

Consistent 2-D phase unwrapping guided by a quality map

TL;DR: This paper presents an algorithm for phase unwrapping in which the mask design is guided by the quality map, and presents an example solution found by the algorithm and discusses possible modifications.
