Removal of strontium ions from simulated radioactive wastewater by vacuum membrane distillation

TLDR
In this paper, the removal of Sr 2+ ions from simulated radioactive wastewater by vacuum membrane distillation (VMD) with hollow fiber membrane module was investigated and the effect of operating parameters on the membrane flux was examined, including feed temperature (30-70°C), permeate side vacuum (0.10-0.98), and feed flow velocity (10.5-41.8 l/h).

Treatment of dye solutions by vacuum membrane distillation

TL;DR: The water vapor fluxes immediately after the tests with dyes were higher than the values registered before the tests, probably due to an interaction with the polymeric membrane material which promotes a swelling of the membrane when in contact with the dye solutions.
