TLDR
In this article, the removal rate of Cr(Ⅵ) in wastewater onto clinoptilolite modified by cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTMAB,C_(16)H_(33)(CH_3)_3N+-Br~+) as an adsorption material, was studied with stirring method.
Abstract
Adsorption removal rate of Cr(Ⅵ) in wastewater onto clinoptilolite modified by cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTMAB,C_(16)H_(33)(CH_3)_3N~+-Br~-) as an adsorption material, was studied with stirring method.Adsorption characteristics were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and infrared absorption spectra. The results show that removal rate of Cr(Ⅵ) in wastewater is more than 91% when the clinoptilolite size is(-0.25+0.15) mm,with clinoptilolite usage of 30g/L,adsorption time of 30min at initial pH=6 of wastewater and temperature of 25℃.The adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ) onto modified clinoptilolite can be expressed by Langmiur adsorption isotherm model. The saturated adsorption amount of Cr(Ⅵ) is 26.53 mg per 100 g modified clinoptilolite.

Cr(VI) Removal from Aqueous by Adsorption on Amine-Functionalized Mesoporous Silica Prepared from Silica Fume

TL;DR: Amino-functionalized mesoporous silica MCM-41 materials have been prepared to develop efficient adsorbents of Cr(VI) in wastewater, using silica fume as silica source as mentioned in this paper.
