Preparation of durable insect repellent cotton fabric: Limonene as insecticide

TL;DR: In this article, Limonene, an important insecticide, was applied to cotton fabrics as per the conventional impregnation and coating methods in addition to an innovative technology based on prior modification of the fabric via grafting with monochlorotriazinyl-β-cyclodextrin.

Spectroscopic and theoretical study on inclusion complexation of beta-cyclodextrin with permethrin

TL;DR: In this paper, the inclusion complex of permethrin (PERM) and β-CD was synthesized and characterized, and the ground state geometries, vibrational wavenumbers, IR and Raman intensities were calculated by DFT at B3LYP/6-31G (d) level.

A method of computing the effectiveness of an insecticide

TL;DR: In order to make experimental studies comparable and statistically meaningful, the article recommends the following formula: per cent control = 100(X - Y)/X, which eliminates errors due to deaths in the control sample which were not due to the insecticide.

Bifenthrin: A Useful Pyrethroid Insecticide for Treatment of Mosquito Nets

TL;DR: The high mortality of susceptible mosquitoes and excellent blood feeding inhibition of susceptible and resistant strains makes bifenthrin a good candidate for treatment of netting materials, particularly in areas where C. quinquefasciatus, the main nuisance in urban areas, is resistant to pyrethroids.
