Search for the S meson

TLDR
In this paper, total and annihilation cross sections for p-barp and p-bard have been measured over the momentum range 355-1066 MeV/c at closely spaced momenta and with good energy resolution.
Abstract
Total and annihilation cross sections for p-barp and p-bard have been measured over the momentum range 355--1066 MeV/c at closely spaced momenta and with good energy resolution. No evidence is seen for the narrow structure reported by other experiments in the vicinity of 500 MeV/c. The present measurements indicate a broader enhancement in this region, which, if interpreted as a resonance, would have a height of approx. 3 mb and a width of approx. 20 MeV. This structure appears only in the p-barp data.

Antinucleon–nucleon interaction at low energy: scattering and protonium

TL;DR: In this article, the nucleon-antinucleon scattering experiments performed at the Low Energy Antiproton Ring (LEAR) of CERN are reviewed and the underlying physics is discussed, in particular by comparison with the predictions of current models based on meson exchange and shortrange absorption.

Proton-antiproton scattering and annihilation into two mesons☆

TL;DR: In this article, a combined semiphenomenological analysis of the low-energy p p annihilation into two mesons and the p p scattering processes which enter into the description of the initial state before two-meson annihilation is presented.

Antiproton-proton partial-wave analysis below 925 mev/c

TL;DR: The practical difficulties involved in constructing a high-quality “cooled” antiproton beam of lower momentum are large, and the \(\bar pp\) database below about 400 MeV/c is still by far not as good as one would like, in striking contrast to the pp case where very accurate data exist as low as T L = 0.35 MeV.

Low-energy antiproton-neon interaction

TL;DR: In this paper, a streamer chamber exposed to the LEAR antiproton beams, the total reaction cross sections, the charged-prong multiplicity distributions and lower limits for the production of negative pions and K s 0 in the p-Ne interaction were measured at 19.6, 48.7 and 179.6 MeV.
