Simultaneous rotor and stator resistance estimation of squirrel cage induction machine with a single extended kalman filter

TL;DR: In this article, a single Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) based solution was proposed to estimate the rotor and stator resistances with a single algorithm, which is also known to have accuracy limitations when a high number of parameters/states are estimated with a limited number of inputs.

Unscented and extended Kalman filters study for sensorless control of PM synchronous motors with load torque estimation

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental verification of sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motors using Kalman filters is presented, which uses only the measurement of the motor current for on-line estimation of speed, rotor position and load torque reconstruction.

Neural speed filtering for sensorless induction motor drives

TL;DR: In this article, a sensorless neural adaptive speed filter is developed for induction motors running off a voltage source inverter, which is demonstrated by comparison with experimental speed measurements and spectral speed estimates.

Speed estimation for an induction motor using the extended Kalman filter

TL;DR: A discretized extended Kalman filter is described for speed estimation of a squirrel-cage induction motor based on stochastic intromission and shows that the filter is an excellent estimator for measurements and non-measurement states because it can estimate other variables, like magnetic flux.

Contribution of wind farms to the network stability

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present how wind farms, adequately controlled, can improve the stability properties of a power system, considering the capability of the double-fed induction generators of feeding active and reactive powers.
