Tabernaemontana L. (Apocynaceae): A review of its taxonomy, phytochemistry, ethnobotany and pharmacology☆
TL;DR: The taxonomy, phytochemistry, ethnobotany, and pharmacology of the genus Tabernaemontana L. (Apocynaceae) is reviewed and the biogenesis and classification of the indole alkaloidal species is set out and some problems in the determination of their stereochemistry are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardenolid- und Pregnanglykoside
TL;DR: The pflanzlichen Cardenolid-Glykoside sind als Hauptvertreter der digitalis-artig wirksamen Stoffe wegen ihrer praktischen Bedeutung in der lgedizin schon relativ frfih and eingehend untersucht worden as discussed by the authors.

Synthesis of Schiff's bases in aqueous medium: a green alternative approach with effective mass yield and high reaction rates
V. Koteswara Rao,S. Subba Reddy,B. Satheesh Krishna,K. Reddi Mohan Naidu,C. Naga Raju,Satyeshwar Ghosh +5 more
TL;DR: Schiff's bases constitute a class of pharmaceutical and medicinally important molecules as mentioned in this paper, and the conventional methods for the synthesis of Schiff's bases require long reaction times and use of organic ingredients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biological activity in steroids possessing nitrogen atoms
M. Alauddin,M. Martin‐Smith +1 more
TL;DR: The pharmacological properties of these steroidal alkaloids showed that these compounds exhibit analeptic activity, producing convulsions in mice and antagonising the narcotic effects of barbiturates, ethylurethane and tribromoethanol in salamander larvae and small fish.
