Improving hedonic rent price regressions by considering spatial autocorrelation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors apply spatial regression techniques to a large Swiss dataset of bid rent prices with 9218 observations in order to improve the hedonic estimations, and the reported results can be considered as preliminary results.

Geographic distribution of livestock products in China- an application of spatial autocorrelation analysis

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the spatial distribution in the outputs of livestock products (meat, milk and egg, respectively) in China using exploratory spatial data analysis, which is a set of GIS spatial statistical techniques that are useful in describing and visualizing the spatial distributions, detecting patterns of hot-spots and suggesting spatial regimes.

Modeling Product Choices in a Peer Network

TL;DR: It is indicated that perceived source expertise influences preferences while the closeness of social relationships has no statistically significant impact.

How tree canopy cover can reduce urban suicide attempts: A geospatial analysis of the moderating role of area deprivation

TL;DR: In this article , the authors explored the relationship between tree canopy coverage, suicide attempts and the levels of neighborhood deprivation and found that tree canopy cover was stronger in less disadvantaged areas than in highly disadvantaged areas, which suggests that interventions to qualitatively improve green space may be important for improving mental health in left-behind areas as a form of environmental justice.

Adaptive Inference on Pure Spatial Models

TL;DR: In this article, an adaptive Lagrange Multiplier testing procedure for pure spatial models with no explanatory variables is proposed and its efficiency is shown to be either less than, or more than, for models with explanatory variables, depending on properties of the spatial weight matrix.

Spatial Econometrics: Methods and Models

TL;DR: In this article, a typology of Spatial Econometric Models is presented, and the maximum likelihood approach to estimate and test Spatial Process Models is proposed, as well as alternative approaches to Inference in Spatial process models.

5. Statistics for Spatial Data

TL;DR: Cressie et al. as discussed by the authors presented the Statistics for Spatial Data (SDS) for the first time in 1991, and used it for the purpose of statistical analysis of spatial data.

Identification of Endogenous Social Effects: The Reflection Problem

TL;DR: The authors examined the reflection problem that arises when a researcher observing the distribution of behaviour in a population tries to infer whether the average behaviour in some group influences the behaviour of the individuals that comprise the group.

Spatial Processes Models and Applications

TL;DR: The authors describe various ways the degree of spatial autocorrelation in a set of variate values can be assessed and to which the pattern formed by the location of objects treatable as points can be examined.

Does a spatial externality between the municipality and the citizen arise as a result of residential suburbanization?

The article discusses different spatial econometric model specifications that incorporate spatial externalities, but it does not specifically address the question of whether a spatial externality arises as a result of residential suburbanization.
