TLDR
In this paper, the authors compared the stalling characteristics of a single-engine aircraft with flight test results using nonlinear simulation and linear stability and control evaluation, using aerodynamic and thrust characteristics obtained from a full-scale test in the NASA Langley Research Center 30 X 60ft Wind Tunnel as well as subscaie model test data.
Abstract
Analytical and numerical estimates of the stalling characteristics of a small, single-engine aircraft are compared with flight test results. Analyses include nonlinear simulation and linear stability-and-control evaluation, using aerodynamic and thrust characteristics obtained from a full-scale test in the NASA Langley Research Center 30 X 60-ft Wind Tunnel as well as subscaie model test data. Flight tests include prestall calibration runs, symmetric gradual stalls, and mildly accelerated stalls in the vertical plane. These tests tend to confirm predictions based upon wind-tunnel results, and they indicate areas in which special care must be taken in collecting data for aerodynamic parameter identification.

Flight control design using non-linear inverse dynamics

TL;DR: Inverse dynamics are generated for specific command variable sets of a 12-state nonlinear aircraft model to develop a control system that provides satisfactory response over the entire flight envelope.

An alternative derivation of the modified gain function of Song and Speyer

TL;DR: Song et al. as mentioned in this paper derived a simpler derivation of the modified gain function for the bearings-only measurement problem as defined by T.L. Song et al., and showed the relationship between modified gain and the standard gain of an extended Kalman filter.

Regulation of relaxed static stability aircraft

TL;DR: In this article, the authors formulate and solve a regulator problem for nonlinear parameter-dependent dynamics, and show that the problem is solvable except at parameter values associated with bifurcation of the equilibrium equations.

Constructing linear families from parameter-dependent nonlinear dynamics

TL;DR: This work proposes an efficient method for computing local linear parameter-dependent families that can be constructed anywhere, specifically around bifurcation points where other methods fail.

Full-scale wind-tunnel investigation of the static longitudinal and lateral characteristics of a light single-engine low- wing airplane

TL;DR: In this paper, wind tunnel analysis of static longitudinal and lateral characteristics of light single engine low wing airplane was performed in the presence of a single engine and a single winged aircraft.

Historical Overview of Stall/Spin Characteristics of General Aviation Aircraft

TL;DR: In this article, the authors review the primary factors which have affected stall/spin behavior of general aviation aircraft over the history of flight in order to obtain a better understanding of the tradeoffs in avoidance of stall and spin.

Equilibrium response of flight control systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the steady state behavior of an aircraft in response to control and disturbance inputs has a major impact on its performance and flying qualities, and it is, to a large extent, not readily predicted by the aircraft's stability and transient behavior.
