Abstract
This paper provides a concise review on the main developments and conclusions in the area of power system harmonic analysis. Commonly accepted methods for conducting harmonic studies have been summarized. The area of harmonic analysis is still a very fertile ground for exploration. With the help of four example research topics, the paper also demonstrates possible future directions of power system harmonic analysis research.
