Phenolic dimers and an indole alkaloid from Campylospermum flavum (Ochnaceae).

TL;DR: From the leaves and stem bark of Campylospermum flavum (Ochnaceae), three compounds, namely 4‴-O-methylagathisflavone, flavumchalcone, and flavumindole have been isolated together with 10 known compounds, including three flavonoids, two biflavonoid, two alkaloids,Two nitrile glucosides, and glucopyranosyl-β-sistosterol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cytotoxic flavonoids and other constituents from the stem bark of Ochna schweinfurthiana.

TL;DR: Seven flavonoid compounds isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the stem bark of Ochna schweinfurthiana F. Hoffm exhibited good cytotoxic activity and Cytotoxicity of the extracts and compounds against cervical adenocarcinoma cells was evaluated by MTT assay.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stereochemical Structure Determination of Caffeine Complexes with Galloylated and Non-galloylated Catechins

TL;DR: Stereochemical structures of a 1:1 complex of (−)-epicatechin (EC) and caffeine were determined by X-ray crystallographic analysis, and a 2:4 complex of ECC and ECC gallate (ECg) was determined by crystallographic analyses as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental tests for quality validation of computationally predicted crystal structures – a case of a conformationally flexible procyanidin A-2 dihydrate

TL;DR: In this article, a new approach to the CSP procedure is presented, in which computationally generated crystal structures are evaluated not only on the basis of lattice energy, but also by the similarity of their theoretical NMR parameters and PXRD diffractograms with the experimental results.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stereospecificity in redox reactions of catechins at gold electrodes modified with self-assembled monolayers of homocysteine

TL;DR: In this article, the stereospecificity of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of homocysteine formed on the (1 1 1)-oriented gold surface toward the molecules with two chiral centers was investigated.
