TLDR
In this paper, Biot's theory was employed in the study of wave motions in fluid-saturated porous rocks and the equations were solved using a Laplace transformation, and it was shown that the measured waves are in fact the fast waves.
Abstract
In this investigation, Biot’s theory was employed in the study of wave motions in fluid‐saturated porous rocks. Consistent with the described experimental arrangement, Biot’s equations were solved using a Laplace transformation. The theory predicts two dilatational waves: a slightly dispersed fast wave propagating ahead of a heavily dispersed and attenuated slow wave. By comparing these results with experimental results, it becomes evident that the measured waves are in fact the fast waves.Subject Classification: [43]20.15, [43]20.40.

Reflection and transmission ofSH waves in an initially stressed medium consisting of a sandy layer lying over a fluid-saturated porous solid

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of sandiness, initial stress, anelasticity and viscosity of the interstitial fluid on the partitioning of energy are studied and a complete account of energy returmed back to the underlying half-space and that which is dissipated in the overlying layer has been discussed analytically as well as numerically.

A note on surface wave dispersion of a 1-layer micropolar liquid-saturated porous half-space

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of poroelasticity and micropolarity on phase velocity of surface waves have been studied in detail, and the dispersion curves are computed numerically for a specific model and presented graphically.

A mathematical model for wave propagation in a composite solid matrix containing two immiscible fluids

TL;DR: In this article, a porous medium composed of two solids and containing two chemically non-reactive immiscible fluids is considered and generalized compressibility tests are invoked to find the value of dimensionless parameters appearing in the closure relation of porosity change.
