Study on Salt Resistance of Peanut Seedlings with Transgenic BADH and mtlD

TLDR
The expression of the mtlD and BADH gene are able to enhance the salt resistance of peanut.
Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to study the salt resistance of peanut seedlings with transgenic BADH and mtlD.[Method] mtlD and BADH gene are transformed into peanut with the help of Agrobactrium tumefaciens, the salt resistance of transgenic peanut is determined by detecting the plants fresh weight, height and conductivity.[Result] The hybridization of PCR and Northern indicate that the mtlD and BADH gene have been integrated into genome of peanut and expressed in transgenic peanut plants;the values of fresh weight, height and the integrity of the cell membrane increase significantly compared with the control plants.[Conclusion] The expression of the mtlD and BADH gene are able to enhance the salt resistance of peanut.

Expression of Multiple Exogenous Insect Resistance and Salt Tolerance Genes in Populus nigra L.

TL;DR: Four exogenous genes, Cry3A, Cry1Ac, mtlD, and BADH, were inserted into the p1870 vector to obtain multigenic transgenic Populus nigra L. with improved insect resistance and salt tolerance.
