Abstract
Two methanogen strains were isolated from methane fermenting liquor by using Hungate obligate anaerobic technique with methanol, formate and acetate as carbon and energy source. They emit blue-green fluorescence when observed by fluorogenic microscope.Their colonies in roll tubes are irregular round and white or a little yellow. In addition, the effect of different pH value and temperature of the growth of the methanogen was studied. The methanogen's optimum growth pH value is 7.0 and can range from 6.5 to 8.0,and the optimum growth temperature is 35 ℃,the results indicated that they were sensitive to the change of pH value and temperature,so a steady circumstance is needed.

Experiments on the gas production of brown coal degraded by exogenous methanogens

TL;DR: In this article, methanogens were enriched from anaerobic sludge and domesticated using brown coal as carbon source, and the authors investigated the ability of exogenous bacteria to degrade brown coal, and found that the lag time of initial gas production is shortened from 12 to 6 days and the CH 4 production increased by 29.2% in 30 days.

Intermittent micro-aeration control of methane emissions from an integrated vertical-flow constructed wetland during agricultural domestic wastewater treatment.

TL;DR: An intermittent micro-aeration control system was used to control methane emissions from an integrated vertical-flow constructed wetland (IVCW) to treat agricultural domestic wastewater pollution in this study.

The Leachate Release and Microstructure of the Sewage Sludge under the Anaerobic Fermentation

TL;DR: In this paper, the pore structure and thermal effect of sewage sludge during anaerobic fermentation were investigated, and the average pore size was enlarged about 16.0-19.8%.
