TLDR
Gold deposited on various oxides with high dispersion was found to be active for the hydrogenation of CO 2 at temperatures between 150 and 400°C and smaller gold particles gave higher methanol productivity per exposed surface area of gold as mentioned in this paper.

Size- and support-dependency in the catalysis of gold

TL;DR: In this article, the adsorption properties and reactivities of gold are summarized in terms of their size dependency from bulk to fine particles, clusters and atoms, and the catalytic performances of gold markedly depend on dispersion, supports, and preparation methods.

Global challenges and strategies for control, conversion and utilization of CO2 for sustainable development involving energy, catalysis, adsorption and chemical processing

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed to use CO2 for environmentally-benign physical and chemical processing that adds value to the process, using CO2 as an alternate medium or solvent or co-reactant or a combination of them.

Selective Vapor-Phase Epoxidation of Propylene over Au/TiO2Catalysts in the Presence of Oxygen and Hydrogen

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that propylene adsorbed on a gold surface may react with oxygen species formed at the perimeter interface between the gold particles and the TiO2support through the reaction of oxygen with hydrogen.

Integrated Catalytic Conversion of γ-Valerolactone to Liquid Alkenes for Transportation Fuels

TL;DR: A strategy by which aqueous solutions of γ-valerolactone (GVL), produced from biomass-derived carbohydrates, can be converted to liquid alkenes in the molecular weight range appropriate for transportation fuels by an integrated catalytic system that does not require an external source of hydrogen.

Hydrogenation of CO2 over gold supported on metal oxides

TL;DR: In this paper, the hydrogenation of CO 2 on supported gold catalysts was investigated at temperatures between 150 and 400° C and a pressure of 8 atm, with the highest yield and selectivity towards methanol obtained on Au/ZnO at 250°C.
