TLDR
Triazenopyrazoles having both the ester and the amide groups increased the average survival time in the standard mouse L-1210 leukemia assay and in some of these tests, increases in lifespan of 60-120% were observed.

Studies on the mechanism of action of the tumour inhibitory triazenes

TL;DR: It was confirmed that at least one N -methyl group was necessary for anti-cancer activity but there was no correlation between dealkylation by liver microsomes and activity since a diethyl triazene was readily dealksed but not active.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and antiproliferative activity of triazenoindazoles and triazenopyrazoles: a comparative study.

TL;DR: The (1)H-NMR spectra showed that the rotational barrier around the N(2)-N(3) bond in the triazene group can be influenced both by the position of this group in the indazole nucleus and by the substitution pattern in the benzene moiety.

3 The Medicinal Chemistry of 1,2,3-Triazines

TL;DR: A medicinally desirable diazonium compound would test the skills of the most talented pharmaceutical formulator because of the inherent instability of this structural type: fused 1,2,3-triazines on the other hand are, in general, stable crystalline compounds readily amenable to manipulation yet lacking little in chemical versatility.

Antitumor activity of imidazole derivatives: dacarbazine and the new alkylating agent imidazene (Review)

TL;DR: The physicochemical properties and antitumor activity of dacarbazine, its analogs, and the new alkylating agent imidazene are reviewed in this paper.

Chemotherapeutic, Carcinogenic, and Cell-regulatory Effects of Triazenes

TL;DR: Treatment for several transfers with PMT resulted in the decrease of oncogenic potential in the following neoplasms: L1210, P815, L 5178Y, and L5178Y/CA55, and the maximum increase (%) in median survival time of mice bearing the L 1210 leukemia, was 38 for a single dose and 50 for 6 daily injections.

Complete inhibition of mouse leukaemia L1210 by 5(or 4)-[3,3-bis(2-chloroethyl)-1-triazeno]imidazole-4(or 5)-carboxamide (NSC-82196).

TL;DR: The synthesis of 5(or 4)-[3,3-bis(2-chloroethyl) -1 - triazeno ] imidazole - 4 (or 5) - carboxamide and its inhibitory action in preventing the development of mouse leukaemia -L1210 are reported.
