Abstract
I. Zolle, ed. New York, NY: Springer, 2007, 345 pages, $169 Written by a panel of 21 experts in the field and edited by Ilse Zolle, this hardbound volume is the current authoritative desk reference for those working with 99mTc-labeled radiopharmaceuticals. The 11 chapters of part 1 provide

Journal ArticleDOI

The elements of life and medicines.

TL;DR: An element-by-element journey through the periodic table is made and it is attempted to assess whether elements are essential or not, and if they are, whether there is a relevant code for them in the human genome.
Journal ArticleDOI

Visualizing Kinetically Robust CoIII4L6 Assemblies in Vivo: SPECT Imaging of the Encapsulated [99mTc]TcO4- Anion.

TL;DR: Using a kinetically robust CoIII4L6 tetrahedron, the feasibility of encapsulating the most widely used precursor in clinical nuclear diagnostic imaging, the γ-emitting [99mTc]TcO4- anion, under conditions compatible with in vivo administration is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessment of Glomerular Filtration Rate Measurement with Plasma Sampling: A Technical Review

TL;DR: This article reviews available radionuclide-based techniques for glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measurement, focusing on clinical indications for GFR measurement, ideal GFR radiopharmaceutical tracer properties, and the 2 most common tracers in clinical use.
Journal ArticleDOI

Abdominal aortic aneurysms targeted by functionalized polysaccharide microparticles: a new tool for SPECT imaging.

TL;DR: Histological studies revealed that functionalized radiolabeled polysaccharide microparticles were localized in the AAA wall, in the same location where P-Selectin was expressed, and constitute a promising SPECT imaging tool for AAA and potentially for other vascular diseases characterized by P- selectin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chromatographic generator systems for the actinides and natural decay series elements

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe chromatographic radionuclide generator systems for the production of actinides and natural decay series elements, which can produce alpha or beta emitting radioisotopes with half-lives of hours to days.
