In this article, the assignment of the absorption spectra of 2-hydroxytropone (2-HT) was reported by measuring the circular dichroism spectra, and it was concluded that the first (270-400 nm) and second (210-270 nm) bands are respectively composed of two electronic transitions having perpendicular and parallel polarizations with respect to the long axis of 2 -HT.About:

TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction between (CC) 3 and CO groups was investigated for λ max and f values of the ultra-violet spectra of tropone (I), tropone ion (I, II), troponium ion (C 7 H 6 OH) + (II), tropolone (III) and 2,4,6-octatrienal (IV), and good results were obtained for the difference in the spectral intensity of the spectra observed with I and IV.
