Suppliers’ Compliance with MNCs’ Codes of Conduct: Behind the Scenes at Chinese Toy Suppliers

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed Chinese suppliers' level of compliance with Swedish toy retailers' codes of conduct, based on unannounced and unofficial interviews with employees of Chinese suppliers, and found that all of the nine studied suppliers breached some of the standards in the toy retailer's codes, with over two-thirds of suppliers not complying with the majority of the studied standards.

Organisational ethics and employee satisfaction and commitment

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the relationship between organisational ethics and organisational outcomes based on the justice theory and cognitive dissonance theory, and found significant and positive links between ethical culture constructs (i.e., top management support for ethical behavior and the association between ethical behaviour and career success within the organisation) and job satisfaction.

Developing a Measure of Unethical Behavior in the Workplace: A Stakeholder Perspective

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used stakeholder theory as a conceptual basis to develop a broader and multidimensional measure of unethical behavior in eight consecutive steps and used exploratory factor analysis to generate five subscales comprising 37 items of unethical behaviour primarily related to financiers, customers, employees, suppliers and society.
