TLDR
Multiple inhibition studies show that phosphate, sulfate, and acetate as inhibitors of pyridoxal-P binding are all competing for the same site, which appears to bind divalent anions tighter than monovalent anions and is sterically hindered for binding long chain carboxylic acids and phenylphosphate.About:

The Role of Acetaldehyde in Mediating the Deleterious Effect of Ethanol on Pyridoxal 5′-Phosphate Metabolism
TL;DR: The hypothesis that the deleterious effect of ethanol oxidation on pyridoxal phosphate metabolism is mediated at least in part by acetaldehyde which displaces this coenzyme from protein binding, thereby enhancing its degradation is supported.

Mechanism of the stereospectific irreversible inhibition of bacterial glutamic acid decarboxylase by (R)-(--)-4-aminohex-5-ynoic acid, an analogue of 4-aminobutyric acid.
TL;DR: If the decarboxylation of glutamate occurs with retention of configuration, the irreversible inhibition of this enzyme by the 4-(R) isomer can be rationalized on the basis of reversibility of the protonation step in the normal catalytic mechanism.

TL;DR: Electrophoretic analyses carried out on a water extract of a single heart taken immediately after the death of the animal reveal the presence of the various subforms, indicating either that theVarious subforms exist as such in the living cell or, if they are artifacts, that they must be formed very early in the preparation and under extremely mild conditions.
