Investigating the User Experience of Mind Map Software: A Comparative Study based on Eye Tracking

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated 20 participants' interactions with the two mind map software "Xmind" and "MindMaster" and concluded that each software has a few usability issues, the use of jargon to explain functions was costly to learn and quickly undermined users' confidence in using the software; the interface's simplicity impacted satisfaction.

The synergy of peer collaboration and mind mapping in cultivating primary students’ science understanding: an integrative pedagogy to enhance science concept acquisition

TL;DR: This article investigated the synergistic effects of peer collaboration and graphic organizers (i.e. mind maps) in Hong Kong science classrooms, and found that collaborative mind mapping markedly enhanced students' academic achievement, highlighting the advantages of this integrative learning approach for boosting students' joint construction of conceptual knowledge in science.
