Step-economic, efficient, ZnS nanoparticle-catalyzed synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives in aqueous medium viaKnoevenagel condensation followed by Michael addition

TL;DR: An environmentally friendly, one-pot, three-component ZnS nanoparticle-mediated synthesis of biologically important spirooxindole derivatives in water under ultrasonic irradiation is described in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Versatile three component procedure for combinatorial synthesis of biologically relevant scaffold spiro[indole-thiazolidinones] under aqueous conditions

TL;DR: The present method is more convenient and efficient as compared to multistep conventional processes and it obviates the azeotropical removal of water and use of carcinogenic solvents and dehydrating agents.

Zeolite supported Brønsted-acid ionic liquids: an eco approach for synthesis of spiro[indole-pyrido[3,2-e]thiazine] in water under ultrasonication

TL;DR: In this article, a zeolite supported Bronsted-acid catalyst system was developed using different Bronsted acid ionic liquids supported on ZSM-5 Zeolite, and catalytic activity was tested via aqueous-mediated ultrasound-promoted synthesis of novel N-substituted spiro heterocycles.

Palladium-Copper Catalyzed Alkyne Activation as an Entry to Multicomponent Syntheses of Heterocycles

TL;DR: In this paper, the coupling-isomerization reaction (CIR) was used for the synthesis of 3-halo furans, pyrroles, pyrazoles and annelated pyridines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct construction of novel dispiro heterocycles through 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylides

TL;DR: In this article, the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of 2-oxo-(2H)-acenaphthylen-1-ylidene-malononitrile and 2-fluoren-9-ylide-morphosine was investigated for the first time with azomethine ylides generated in situ from N-substituted isatin and sarcosine to furnish novel dispiro heterocycles.

Inorganic Solid Acids and Their Use in Acid-Catalyzed Hydrocarbon Reactions

Avelino Corma
- 01 May 1995 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors tried to describe perhaps the most important solid acids based on inorganic oxides, going from their preparation procedures and characterization, to their catalytic activity for a series of hydrocarbon reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Features of apoptotic cells measured by flow cytometry

TL;DR: The present review describes several methods to characterize and differentiate between two different mechanisms of cell death, apoptosis and necrosis, applied to studies of apoptosis triggered in the human leukemic HL-60 cell line by DNA topoisomerase I or II inhibitors, and in rat thymocytes by either topoisomersase inhibitors or prednisolone.
