The isolation and x-ray crystal structure of a complex between sodium hexafluorophosphate and dibenzo-36-crown-12

TLDR
The crystal structure of 2NaPF6·dibenzo-36crown-12 was determined by X-ray diffraction methods as discussed by the authors, and the 2:1 (metal:ligand) complex crystallises in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n with cell constants of a = 14.189(2), b = 9.372(1), c = 16.750(3) A, and β = 108.98°.

First- and second-sphere coordination chemistry of alkali metal crown ether complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, the structural chemistry of first and second-sphere alkali metal cation complexes of crown ethers is examined with an emphasis on the role played by hydrogen bonding interactions to counter anions and other co-ligands such as water.

Big and little Meccano

TL;DR: The emergence of the mechanical bond during the past 25 years is giving chemistry a fillip in more ways than one as discussed by the authors, and it is providing a new lease of life to chemical synthesis where mechanical bond formation occurs as a consequence of the all-important templation orchestrated by molecular recognition and self-assembly.

Cryptates with macrotricyclic ligands. The structure of the sodium [3]-cryptate [(C32H64N4O10)Na2]I2

TL;DR: In this paper, the tricyclic ligand C 32 H 64 N 4 O 10 was determined from diffractometer data by the heavy atom method and refined by least-squares to R(F) = 0.057 for 1927 reflections.
