TLDR
In this paper, the distribution of thermal stress in an anisotropic elastic half-space is derived for the case when the temperature and stress fields are independent of one of the three Cartesian coordinates.Abstract:
Equations for the distribution of thermal stress in an anisotropic elastic half-space are derived for the case when the temperature and stress fields are independent of one of the three Cartesian coordinates. These equations are used to determine the stress field due to an arbitrary temperature distribution and particular stress and displacement conditions on the boundary of the half space. The analysis holds for the most general anisotropy in which no symmetry elements of the material are assumed.read more
