TL;DR: The authors found that subjects high on the Creative Personality Scale (Gough, 1979) and the Problem-Solving/Creativity scale (Marsh & O'Neill, 1984) were found to strive for self-determined reasons, to strive toward greater self-determination, and to evidence higher SD in measures of both motivational orientation and self-concept.
